Make Your Feed Images Pop

Size your images to show up big and sharp on your clients’ phones.

Image sizes for Feed posts

The Feed never crops images, so your clients always see the whole image. But the shape of an image decides how large it shows up on their phones. Use these sizes so your images look large and sharp.

Quick reference

  • Best size: 1440 × 1000px. Fills the whole image frame.

  • Recommended: 1200 × 800px (3:2). This is the shape most cameras and stock photos use.

  • Minimum width: 1200px

How each shape displays

Feed images sit in a wide, short frame. Landscape images fill the full width. Square and portrait images shrink to fit the frame’s height, which leaves blank space at the sides.

Tips

  • Keep text large. Use at least 50px type on a 1200px-wide image, or 60px on a 1440px-wide image. Put important details like dates, links and phone numbers in the post text instead of the image.

  • Leave a margin. The frame has rounded corners, so keep logos and text at least 5% of the image’s width in from every edge. That’s 60px on a 1200px-wide image.

  • Don’t go too small or too large. Images under about 1000px wide can look blurry. Images wider than 1600px don’t look any sharper on a phone, and they load more slowly on mobile data.

  • Format: JPG and PNG both work.

Sizes are approximate and come from testing on a standard-size iPhone. Images may look a little different on other devices or with display zoom or accessibility settings turned on. For important posts, check the post in the app on a phone before you rely on it.
