Resource Template Overview
The Resource Template allows you to create a structured repository of content accessible to clients through their app. The template is customizable to fit the specific needs of the firm and is organized into Categories, Subcategories, and Resources.
A different Resource Template can be built within each Advisor Template, allowing firms to customize the resources available to clients, prospects, and leads. This flexibility ensures that each audience receives relevant, tailored content that aligns with their specific needs and stage in the advisory process.
Basic Steps to Build Your Resource Template
Add a Category
Create a new category and provide a title, description, and cover image
Add a Resource
Upload a file, add a link, or embed a video
Link the Resource to the Category
Assign the resource to the relevant category for organized access.
Link the Resource with a Subcategory/Collection
Link the resource to the appropriate subcategory or collection within the category.
What are Categories?
Categories act as the top-level organizational structure within the Resource Template. Advisors can create various categories to represent broad topics or themes relevant to their clients.
Examples: Financial Planning, Investment Strategies, Estate Planning, Retirement Resources, Client Onboarding.
What are Subcategories (Collections)?
Within each Category, advisors can further organize content by creating Subcategories. This additional layer helps break down complex topics into more digestible sections.
Examples: Under Financial Planning, you might have Budgeting Tools and Tax Planning Resources.
What is a Resource?
Resources are the actual pieces of content or links clients will access. They can be PDFs, videos, or external links.
Examples: PDFs, videos explaining portfolio strategies, links to scheduling tools, or helpful articles on financial wellness.
Resource Types
Documents allow you to upload PDFs.
Links enable you to add external URLs, directing clients to relevant websites, tools, or articles for further information. An in-app browser will open, keeping your clients in your app even while accessing resources on the web.
Videos can be included either by uploading an mp4 file or by embedding the video directly into the resource, allowing clients to view it seamlessly within the app. You can create embed codes in your video hosting platform, like YouTube or Vimeo.
