Client Referral Overview

With the client referral flow, you can easily grow your network by letting your clients refer friends and family to your services.

Clients can share a personalized referral message through a QR code or by text/email, inviting others to book a call or explore the app as a prospect.

With the added touch of an introductory video and flexible referral options, this feature makes it simple for your clients to share their experience, helping you expand your reach and strengthen connections—an essential tool for growing your business.

How Advisors and Referred Prospects Connect

  1. Referral Message: The advisor writes a personalized referral message, which can be sent in by their clients two ways:

    • Scan the QR Code: Prospects can scan the QR code on the "Refer a Friend" page to access the referral.

    • Invite Friend Button: The client can click the "Invite Friend" button to share the referral via text message or email.

  2. Introductory Video: Advisors can upload a video introducing themselves and their services, along with a description, to give referred prospects a sneak peek before taking action.

  3. Referral Options: Advisors can offer referred individuals two options:

    • Book a Call: Referred prospects can schedule a call directly with the advisor.

    • Start the App Experience as a Prospect: Referred individuals can begin exploring the app, experiencing it as a prospect.

  4. Tracking Referrals: Both the advisor and the original referrer can easily track all their successful referrals, making it clear who has been referred and what steps they've taken.


Set Up Your Client Referral Flow

  1. Click on your Profile Image in the top right of your back office.

  2. Click Manage Account.

  3. Navigate to Referral in the Top Menu.

Now, let's move through the Referral Set Up Step-by-Step

  1. Use the toggle to turn this feature on in your client app.

  2. Write your Referral Message.


    The Referral Message will appear on the Refer a Friend page and be sent along with the link to the Landing Page shared with your prospect.

  3. Next, set the Heading of your Landing Page.

  4. Upload your video in an mp4 file format.

  5. Input your Video Description.

  6. Next, Update your Sign Up Page heading. This is the page your referral will be brought to upon clicking Download Our App or Book a Call.

  7. The referral's information will be used to create them as a Prospect in your back office.

  8. Toggle on Download Our App if you want referrals to be prompted to download and login to your firm's app experience as a Prospect immediately.

  9. Toggle on Book a Call if you want referrals to be able to book a call via a Booking URL.

  10. Input your Booking URL.

  11. Update the heading on your Thank You / Confirmation Page. This is the page your referrals will see after submitting their information on the sign-up page.

  12. We recommend enabling Auto-Assign to automatically enroll this Prospect into your dedicated Prospecting Template.

  13. Select your Prospect Template from the dropdown menu. This will ensure a smooth and seamless experience for your newly referred prospect.

  14. Click Save.

⚠️ Caution: If you do not enable Auto-Assign for your referrals, you will need to manually update their Template assignment.


How Your Clients Will Experience the 'Refer Friend' Flow

  1. Your current client will open the in-app Hamburger Menu in the left hand corner of the homepage.

  2. Click Refer Friend.

  3. Clients are brought to your Refer a Friend Page. Their referral can either scan your client's QR code to be brought to your Landing Page

  4. Or your client can click the Invite Friend button to share the link via SMS or email.


Your New Prospect's Experience

  1. Your client's referral will scan the QR code or follow the Landing Page link they receive via SMS or email.

  2. Your client's referral will be brought to your Referral Landing Page.

  3. They can choose Download our App or Book a Call depending on what you have made available.

  4. With either selection, they will be brought to the Sign Up page, this will create a Prospect in your back office.

  5. Your new Prospect will input their Name, Email, and Phone Number.

  6. If they select Book a Call, they will be brought to your Calendly.

  7. If they select Download our App, they will be brought to the Thank You/Confirmation page, where they are prompted to download the app.

  8. Your new Prospect can log in using the SMS or email they provided on the sign-up page to begin their app experience. If they're enrolled in a Prospect Template, their Day 1 Onboarding Journey will start the day they log in.

  9. The Primary Advisor and Advisory team can view this Prospect in the Contacts Module of the Prospect Template they're auto-enrolled in.

⚠️ Caution: If your referral attempts to log in without being auto-assigned to your Prospect Template, their experience will appear empty. To ensure a smooth and engaging experience, we strongly recommend enabling Auto-Assign for your referrals.


Notification of New Referral

You will see Client Referrals in your Advisor Dashboard. If you click on the Client Referrals tile you will be brought to your Referral Report.

The Primary Advisor will receive an email notification about your recent referrals. If they are enrolled in an Advisor Template, Their onboarding journey will begin the first time they log in to the app.

The Primary Advisor will receive an in-app and email notification the first time the newly referred Contact logs in.

You can access the Contact's details on their Summary Page in the Contacts Module.

You can run a a Referral Report under Reports in the Navigation Menu.
