First, Login to Your Salesforce as an Admin

Steps to Create an External Client App

1. Go to Setup

2. Search App Manager

3. Click New External Client App

4. Input Basic Information

  • External Client App Name – Fynancial

  • API Name – auto-populates

  • Contact Email – per your choice

  • Distribution – Local

  • Contact Phone, Info URL, Logo Image URL, Icon URL – can be left blank

  • Description – Optional but can be used to describe the purpose of the External Client App (i.e "Establishes connection with Fynancial application to enable data synchronization.)

5. Input API Information (Enable OAuth Settings)

  • Check Enable Device Flow

  • Check Enable Refresh Token Rotation

6. Click Create


Steps to Access and Share Secret and Key with Fynancial

1. Under Home > Platform Tools > Apps > External Client Apps > External Client App Manager locate the App you just created and click on it’s name (Fynancial).

2. Click Settings, then open the OAuth Settings Dropdown

3. Click the Consumer Key and Secret button

4. A verification code will go to the associated Contact Email

5. Input your code and the Key and Secret will be provided for you to copy and share with Fynancial.


Steps to Update the Session Policy

1. Under Home > Platform Tools > Apps > External Client Apps > External Client App Manager locate the App you just created and click on it’s name (Fynancial).

2. Click Policies

3. Click the Edit button then open the OAuth Dropdown

4. Scroll to App Authorization

5. Under Refresh Token Policy > Select Expire refresh token if not used for specific time > input 90 Days

6. Under Session Timeout in Minutes > input 60

7. Click Save.


Steps to Get Domain URL

1. Use the Search Bar to search My Domain > Click My Domain

2. Copy the Domain URL to share with Fynancial


Connect your Salesforce in Fynancial

From the Admin Dashboard, click on the Profile Icon in the upper right corner to expand the menu.

Then select, Integrations.

On the Integrations Page, click ‘Connect’ on the Salesforce Integration Card.

Input your Admin Credentials.

You will receive a code to your admin email.

You will receive a message confirming your Salesforce Account Integration. Click Continue.

Once your Salesforce is connected in the Fynancial platform, you will work closely with your Onboarding team to Manage your custom mappings. No other action is required.
