Onboarding Journey Overview

The Onboarding Journey is a handy tool within your Advisor Templates that helps you create a smooth, tailored experience for your clients, prospects, and leads.

It lets you pre-schedule posts, action items, messages, and reminders that kick off from the first day of your contact’s app experience.

Whether you’re welcoming new clients, nurturing prospects, or guiding leads, the Onboarding Journey helps you deliver consistent, high-quality communication that feels personal and customized—even at scale. You’ve got the flexibility to design experiences that last anywhere from 1 to 30 days, making it easy to set the right tone right from the start.

Design the Template's Onboarding Journey

  1. Navigate to Templates in the Navigation Menu.

  2. Select your desired Advisor Template.

  3. Click Onboarding Journey in the top menu.

  4. You will automatically be brought to a 7-day scheduler.

  5. On the desired day, click the + icon to schedule a post, message, action item, or reminder.

  6. Continue building your journey, day-by-day, using the scheduler.

  7. If you want to lengthen the journey, click Add Week button to continue scheduling.

⚠️ Caution: Your client's Onboarding Journey begins the moment they first log in to the app. Once a journey has started, any changes made to the Onboarding Journey in the template WILL NOT apply to clients who have already begun their journey. To update a journey that's already in progress, you'll need to adjust each client's journey individually. See below!


Update Individual Contact Onboarding Journey

  1. Navigate to Templates in the Navigation Menu.

  2. Select your desired Advisor Template.

  3. Click Contacts in the top menu.

  4. Click the Actions button next to your desired Contact.

  5. Click Set Schedule.

  6. You’ll be taken to this individual’s Onboarding Journey, where you can see the exact dates their journey is scheduled for.

  7. Make your desired updates.

    1. Click the + icon to schedule an additional item.

    2. Click the triple dots (...) next to an item you'd like to update.

  8. Your updates will be applied to this individual contact's scheduled Onboarding Journey.


Onboarding Journey Delivery

When a client logs in to the app for the first time, their Onboarding Journey officially begins. On Day 1, they’ll receive content according to the scheduled times. If they log in after something is scheduled, it will already be there waiting for them. If they log in before the scheduled time, they’ll receive it right on time as planned, creating a smooth, well-organized introduction.

From there, the client will receive push notifications for scheduled posts, messages, reminders, and action items each day throughout the rest of their journey. These notifications help guide them through each step of the experience, making sure they stay engaged and informed.

Clients can interact directly with the content delivered through their Onboarding Journey—whether it’s responding to messages, completing action items, or reviewing helpful posts and reminders.

The result? A smooth, personalized experience that keeps your clients feeling supported and connected from day one.
